For the second consecutive year, Bozeman has been recognized as the top college town in the United States by RentCafe.com. This accolade highlights Bozeman's appeal as the home of Montana State University (MSU), citing factors such as affordability, educational quality, and a well-educated population. Additionally, Bozeman offers abundant natural amenities and hosts numerous startup companies and major employers that provide valuable opportunities for students.
Montana State University reported a record enrollment of 16,237 students for the spring 2025 semester, marking five years of continuous growth during this period. The university offers over 250 undergraduate programs and more than 115 graduate programs. MSU is also recognized as the largest research institution in Montana and holds a Carnegie top-tier research ranking.
