The Montana State University (MSU) men's and women's basketball teams are set to compete in the Big Sky Conference Tournament in Boise, Idaho, with hopes of securing spots in the NCAA Tournament. The event is scheduled from March 8 to March 12.

The Bobcat women’s team, holding the top seed, will play their first game on March 9 at noon against either Northern Colorado or Portland State. Meanwhile, the MSU men’s team enters as the No. 5 seed and will face Idaho State on March 10 at 5:30 p.m.

"Only the tournament champion earns an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament," according to officials from the Big Sky Conference. Last season, MSU's men's team made history by winning their third consecutive conference title and earning a spot in the national tournament. The current season has been notable for MSU's women as well, setting a single-season record with 27 wins and achieving a significant 19-game winning streak.

All games during this tournament will be available for viewing on ESPN+, with select matches also broadcasted nationally on ESPNU and ESPN2.

Fans attending can purchase tickets through the tournament website or directly at Idaho Central Arena. Additionally, MSU Alumni Foundation plans fan events throughout Boise during the tournament period.

Live updates including stats will be accessible via Bobcat Athletics' website along with radio coverage provided by Bobcat Sports Radio Network and The Varsity Network. Social media updates will also be shared on Instagram through accounts @MSUbobcatsMBB, @MSUbobcatsWBB, and @BigSkyConf.
