An annual conference dedicated to professional development and networking for women is set to take place on Tuesday, May 13, at Montana State University. The MSU Women’s Leadership Conference will be hosted by the Jake Jabs College of Business and Entrepreneurship from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Strand Union Building ballrooms.
Registration is now open with tickets priced at $150. The event will feature breakout sessions and guest speakers under the theme “Authentic and Emerging Leadership.” Proceeds from the conference will fund scholarships for students who have demonstrated leadership and mentorship both on and off campus.
Amanda McPherson, an award-winning coach, speaker, and published writer, will deliver the keynote address. She is known for her online platform, “Girl, Get Your Roots Done,” where she provides guidance to help women stay true to their values while navigating life's challenges.
Other notable speakers include Megan Brummel of Wayfinders Leadership; Karen Lum, founder of K. Lum Consulting; Camille McKinney, a leadership coach and consultant; Cathy Mobley, principal and senior consultant at FMG Leading; Neely Myers, associate director at consulting firm KPMG; Shayla Preeshl, a brand and marketing strategist; and Karen McNenny, founder and CEO of URelate.
The conference registration covers educational sessions, event materials, meals, a networking reception, a happy hour social, and a silent auction. Attendees can earn up to 6.6 continuing professional education credits for CPAs.
The Women’s Circle of Excellence was established in 2006 by MSU alumnae and business college staff. The inaugural conference took place in 2008 alongside the business college's 115th anniversary. It has since been renamed the Women’s Leadership Conference.
