The Jake Jabs College of Business and Entrepreneurship, in collaboration with the Blackstone LaunchPad, is set to host a panel discussion featuring B Corp-certified companies. The event will take place on Wednesday, April 2, at 5 p.m. in Room 111 of Jabs Hall on the Montana State University campus. This event is open to the public at no cost.

Certified B corporations are required to meet high standards of social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability as per the nonprofit B Lab. Currently, there are over 6,000 Certified B corporations across more than 80 countries.

During the panel, representatives from four Bozeman-based B Corp-certified companies will discuss how they manage to grow profitable businesses while maintaining ethical practices in Gallatin Valley. They will also elaborate on their decision to become a B Corp and its impact on their workplace.

The panelists include Amy Beck, president of Oboz; Spencer Williams, founder of West Paw; Summer Gilleney, director of people and culture at OnSite Energy; and Erika Flowers, managing director and partner at Profitable Ideas Exchange.

After the panel discussion, attendees are encouraged to stay for networking opportunities accompanied by refreshments. Additionally, those who arrive by foot, bike or public transit can participate in a raffle for a chance to win prizes from Oboz.
