Rep. Ryan Zinke, a current member of the U.S. Congress representing Montana's 1st district, recently shared several updates on social media regarding his activities and viewpoints. His posts reflect his engagements with both national and local issues.

On March 13, 2025, Rep. Zinke commemorated K-9 Veterans Day by acknowledging the contributions of military and law enforcement dogs. He highlighted Cairo, a dog from SEAL Team Six that played a role in the operation against Osama bin Laden. In his words, "Join me in honoring K-9 Veterans Day and the brave four-legged warriors who have served in our military and law enforcement—like Cairo, who was part of SEAL Team Six and assisted in the historic raid on Osama bin Laden's compound."

Later that day, Zinke reported on a meeting with Glacier National Park's Superintendent regarding staffing for the upcoming busy season. He expressed optimism about their preparedness but noted potential challenges due to possible government shutdowns led by Senate Democrats: "Had breakfast with the Superintendent of Glacier National Park, and he informed me that hiring for the busy season in the park is going great and that they should be fully prepared when the season opens… unless the government shuts down."

The following day, March 14, Zinke addressed issues related to seasonal workers affected by administrative changes under previous leadership. He mentioned President Trump's exemption for these workers from layoffs and discussed a court ruling affecting U.S. Forest Service employees: "President Trump rightfully exempted seasonal hires from layoffs but when the previous administration reclassified thousands of experienced USFS seasonal workers as probationary employees, they got caught in the reduction of force."
