Montana State University's College of Education, Health and Human Development is set to host an event showcasing its teaching, research, and community engagement efforts. The EHHD Showcase will take place on February 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Best Western Plus GranTree Inn in Bozeman. The event is open to the public at no cost.
The evening's program includes a reception, a fair highlighting EHHD programs and projects, live music from 6 to 6:30 p.m., followed by presentations from faculty and staff who have received awards for their work. A question-and-answer session with the presenters will occur from 7:30 to 8 p.m.
Tricia Seifert, dean of the College of Education, Health and Human Development, expressed enthusiasm about the event. "We look forward to sharing our college’s stories of teaching, research and engagement and how those efforts have benefited our faculty and staff members, the students they teach and the communities in which they work," she said.
Presentations at the showcase include topics such as middle school education by Sarah Pennington; rural journeys by Rebecca Koltz; traditional Chinese culinary heritage by Wenhao Zhang; family sciences' impact on daily decisions by Nicole Wanago; land-based education by Jill Falcon Ramaker; and student support services by Julian Collins.
Attendees are encouraged to RSVP for the event online by February 17 through Montana State University's website.
