WIC is now available with Granite County Public Health.   Established WIC days are held at the Drummond office the second Monday of the month and Philipsburg office third Wednesday of the month.   WIC is a nutrition program that provides nutrition and health education, breastfeeding support, healthy food and referrals to other services free of charge to Montana families that qualify.  WIC services are available to: Pregnant women, new moms (up to six months after delivery) Breastfeeding moms (up to one year after delivery) infants and children under the age of five.  If you child is on Medicaid that child automatically qualifies for WIC.    WIC is for all kinds of Montana families: married and single parents, working or not working.   If you are a father, mother, grand parent, foster parent or legal guardian of a child under five years, you can apply for WIC.    

Once enrolled you will receive benefits which include cereal, juice, milk, cheese, eggs, peanut butter, whole grain items, dry or canned beans, fresh fruits and vegetables, baby food, infant cereal and formula.

Sweet Grass County will hold a public test of its ExpressVote system ahead of the upcoming school election. The event is open for observation at the county annex on April 20. Ballots will be hand counted.
