Montana State University athletes Tilde Bjerager and Sydney Brewster were named Big Sky Women’s Track and Field Athletes of the Week on Mar. 30 following their performances at the Cat-Griz Dual/Al Manuel Invitational.

The recognition highlights notable achievements for both athletes during the competition. Bjerager received her first individual weekly honor in a Bobcat uniform, while Brewster earned her first outdoor award this season and third overall for 2025-26.

Bjerager broke the Montana State school record in the 400-meter hurdles with a converted time of 57.79 seconds, winning her event at the invitational hosted by Montana. This was also her outdoor debut for Montana State, and her performance placed her seventh nationally in the event this season.

Brewster started her outdoor season by winning the shot put with a mark of 17.12 meters (56 feet, 2 inches), which moved her to sixth nationally in that event for this season. Her throw secured victory by nearly seven feet over other competitors at Missoula.

Montana State is scheduled to compete next at events in California: The Stanford Invitational and Mike Fanelli Track Classic will take place April 3-4 on the campuses of Stanford University and San Francisco State University.
