The Custer Gallatin National Forest is in Very High Fire Danger

0Comments

The weekend looks hot.  Fuels are dry.  The Custer Gallatin National Forest is in very high fire danger.  Know any fire restrictions where ever you are traveling this long holiday weekend by double checking here: https://www.mtfireinfo.org/pages/restrictions

The Custer Gallatin National Forest does not have restrictions BUT everyone still needs to be careful with fire and always put small recreational campfires absolutely dead out by dousing with water, stirring, douse again, stir again until cool to touch!!

Avoid outdoor burning, secure tire chains, avoid any equipment that sparks, properly extinguish cigarette butts and hydrate.

Thanks US National Weather Service Billings Montana for helpful graphics.
