Sweet Grass County announced on April 15 that school ballots will be mailed to eligible voters on Thursday, April 16. The county explained that residents in the BTGS district will receive a ballot containing both grade school and high school measures, while those in rural grade school districts will get a ballot with only Sweet Grass High School (SGHS) measures. Residents in the Reed Point High School district will not receive a ballot.

This announcement is important as it informs community members about how and when they can participate in upcoming local education decisions. Timely delivery of ballots ensures all eligible voters have the opportunity to take part in these elections.

The county said anyone who does not receive their expected ballot within a few days after April 16 should contact the Elections Office at (406)932-5152 to check on its status.

Sweet Grass County advances community impact through its elected officials and departmental programs, according to the official website. The county delivers essential public services through nine elected officials and eight departments aimed at advancing community impact, according to the official website. Governance is managed by a Board of County Commissioners with three elected members who direct policy and administration, according to the official website.

In addition to election administration, Sweet Grass County provides law enforcement services throughout its jurisdiction via its Sheriff’s Office, as reported by the official website. The county operates as a governmental entity providing public services and law enforcement under oversight from commissioners and reserves additional support for law enforcement when needed, according to information from the official website.

These efforts reflect Sweet Grass County’s ongoing role in managing local governance functions such as elections while continuing broader service provision across departments.
