Montana State University and the City of Bozeman are collaborating for the annual Don’t Curb Your Crap initiative, enabling students to dispose of large items without fees. Throughout May, the city's Solid Waste Division will offer free pickups for MSU students and recent graduates, a service typically costing $20 per item, including furniture like couches, desks, and mattresses.

To participate, students can fill out a form on the city's website where they confirm their status, describe the item, and provide its location.

"This program has always been incredibly successful, and we look forward to continuing the tradition this May,” stated Rebecca Eberlin, program manager for MSU’s Off-Campus Student Life. “It is a wonderful example of the positive impact that can come from collaboration between the city of Bozeman and the university, and we’re eager to see the positive impact Don't Curb Your Crap makes this spring."

The program, initiated in 2019, is a joint effort involving the Office of the Dean of Students, the Associated Students of MSU, the city’s Neighborhoods Program, and Bozeman’s Solid Waste Division.
