Montana State ranked fourth by Online Master's Degrees for top American campuses
Montana State University is ranked among the nation’s top online graduate schools in the latest annual rankings published by Online Master's Degrees.
The website’s 2023 list of "Best Online Master’s Degree Programs" ranked 10 of MSU’s online graduate programs among the top in the United States and made special mention of MSU’s master’s degree in agricultural education, its master's in curriculum and instruction, and its master’s in English education.
According to Online Master's Degrees, the rankings are based on several measures of academic quality, including accreditation, reasonable costs, extensive online student support, a strong online education track record, and innovative and reliable online learning technologies.
In addition to overall best online programs, Online Master’s Degrees ranked MSU’s individual online programs:
No. 4 for master’s in psychology
No. 7 for master’s in English education
No. 7 for master’s in science education
No. 9 for master’s in enviromental sciences
MSU offers 13 online master’s programs and seven online graduate certificates as a part of its 69 master's degree options, including three education specialist degrees, 45 doctoral degree options and a variety of certificates. MSU is the largest research entity in Montana, with research expenditures in the last fiscal year topping $200 million.
