Schools & Seniors in the Gallery at Emerson Center for Arts and Culture
The “Schools & Seniors in the Gallery” program is a comprehensive interdisciplinary arts education curriculum designed to enrich arts education for students in public, private, and homeschooled groups of all ages.
EXHIBIT TOUR INFORMATION
COST: Free
DURATION: 30 minutes – 1 hour depending on the age of the group
OPTIONAL ART ACTIVITY: Plan on adding an additional hour to your visit.
• Participants will create their own work of art inspired by concepts and materials related to the exhibit.

• September 14 – November 22, Monday – Friday, 9:30am – 3pm
Bussing assistance is available. Please inquire when booking your tour.
Students enjoy an exhibit tour lead by docents through the Emerson’s galleries. Docents use inquiry-based methods to teach critical thinking and visual literacy skills. Teachers may elect to add a hands-on art enrichment activity where students create original artwork that echoes the
exhibits techniques, materials, and themes.
