U.S. Sen. Steve Daines attended the White House for the COVID-19 Vaccine Summit on Dec. 8, where he presented his work on therapeutic drugs under Operation Warp Speed (OWS), a press release from his website reported.
The summit earmarked the success of OWS. OWS has been crucial in the accelerated development, manufacturing and distribution of much-needed COVID-19 vaccines.
“Just finished up a great meeting with President Trump and his Operation Warp Speed team. This truly is remarkable that we're going to have these vaccines available for Montanans and the American people before the end of the year. A job well done,” Daines said.
Daines was helpful in obtaining funding for the research, development and distribution of COVID-19 vaccines. He also obtained funding for therapeutics under OWS by teaming up with top researchers, scientists and administration officials.
Daines also played a part in the development of Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine trial. Reports tout that Daines is guiding by example for Montanans and the American people.
