CITY OF LIVINGSTON: Recruitment for City Tree Board Youth Member

City of Livingston issued the following announcement on Feb.11.

The City of Livingston is looking to fill one (1) youth seat on the City Tree Board.

This board acts in an advisory capacity to the City Commission.  This Board is responsible for the study, investigation, counsel, develop and administer a written plan for the care, preservation, pruning, planting, replanting, removal or disposition of trees and shrubs in parks, along streets, and in other public areas, and making formal recommendations to the Livingston City Commission.  

The youth member will serve a one (1) year term based on the school year calendar (July-June).

Applicants are encouraged to include a resume or bio, and a short cover letter outlining why you would like to serve on the City Tree Board, what special skills, talents, or resources you offer and what you hope to accomplish as a member.

Applicants will be interviewed by the board in March. Appointments are anticipated to occur on April 7, 2020, at 5:30 p.m. during the regular City Commission meeting.

 Interested in sharing your time and talents?  Applications will be accepted in person or by mail beginning February 11, 2020, through 5 pm on March 11, 2020. 

Board meetings will occur on the Third, Thursday of each month at 12 noon in the Community Room of the City/County Complex.
