The most recent campaign finance disclosure submitted by gubernatorial candidate Whitney Williams, a Democrat, revealed that she has raised more money that her opponents and also is raking in money from out-of-state donors.
According to her financial disclosure, Williams netted $430,000 in the fourth quarter, but the money trail revealed that less than 25 percent of her donations were received from Montanans.
Her campaign has received significant support from Hollywood contributors and other prominent liberals.
Campaign finance records show that the GOP is faring well in its fundraising efforts against Democrats in statewide fundraising, holding a 4-to-1 advantage. With approximately $2.4 million raised so far in the state, the GOP has garnered $1.8 million of it.
