Rep. Ryan Zinke, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Montana’s 1st district, shared his recent activities on social media. He has been actively engaging with the community in Butte, Montana, and honoring local heroes.

On May 23, 2025, Rep. Zinke posted about his visit to Montana Precision Products in Butte, praising the team for their work. He described it as a “Great team doing great work right here in Butte America!”

Later that day, Zinke shared details of a ceremony where the Butte VA Clinic was renamed in honor of Radioman Charlie Dowd. Zinke called Dowd “a Pearl Harbor and WWII hero” and noted his contributions as a teacher and sportsman in Montana.

In another post on May 23, 2025, Rep. Zinke reflected on his personal interactions with Charlie Dowd over the years. He recounted listening to Dowd’s stories from Pearl Harbor and the South Pacific and noted Dowd’s ability to tap out Morse code even at age 99.

Ryan Zinke was born in Bozeman, Montana in 1961 and currently resides in Whitefish. His career includes service in both the U.S. Congress since 2023 and previously in the Montana Senate from 2009 to 2013.
