Rep. Ryan Zinke, a current member of the U.S. Congress representing Montana’s 1st district, has been actively engaging with his constituents and addressing significant issues through social media. Since replacing Steve Daines in 2023, Zinke has focused on both local engagement and legislative initiatives.

On June 4, 2025, Rep. Zinke invited those in Washington D.C. to visit Montana Coffee for an opportunity to meet with all four members of the Montana delegation when the House and Senate are in session. He encouraged people to “call my office for details.”

The following day, June 5, 2025, he shared his enthusiasm for outdoor activities during Great Outdoors Month by highlighting winter recreation opportunities. In a tweet celebrating snowmobiling on public lands, he expressed joy at spending time with Montana snowmobilers: “Outdoor recreation isn’t only for the warm weather.”

Later that same day, Rep. Zinke announced the introduction of the PROTECT Act aimed at empowering tribal courts and law enforcement in combating the opioid crisis affecting their communities. Reflecting on meetings with tribal leaders from Montana, he described their challenges as “heartbreaking and devastating,” emphasizing that this legislation seeks to provide necessary tools to address these issues.

Ryan Zinke was born in Bozeman, Montana in 1961 and currently resides in Whitefish. He holds degrees from the University of Oregon and National University.
