Rep. Ryan Zinke, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Montana’s 1st district, shared a series of tweets reflecting on both local and national issues. Known for his previous tenure in the Montana Senate and his educational background from the University of Oregon and National University, Zinke remains an active voice on social media.

On March 12, 2025, Rep. Zinke commemorated National Girl Scout Day by acknowledging the organization’s impact over more than a century. He praised their role in developing leadership skills among young women and expressed appreciation to the Girl Scouts of Montana with a personal note: “Happy National Girl Scout Day! For over a century, the Girls Scouts have helped shape confident and civic minded young women, teaching them leadership skills and community service. To all the Montana Girl Scouts out there, keep up the great work and don’t forget me in cookie…”

Later that day, he addressed regulatory concerns affecting Montana’s coal industry. He criticized actions by the Biden administration that he claims targeted Montana coal through regulation standards meant to shut down Colstrip. According to Zinke, these measures were “unfair, unreasonable,” potentially impacting electricity reliability and affordability in Montana.

On March 13, 2025, Rep. Zinke shared a positive interaction with youth involved in scouting programs by highlighting artwork from a young boy scout who reached out to him: “Great artwork from a young boy scout who wrote to me.”
