Rep. Ryan Zinke, who currently serves in the U.S. Congress representing Montana’s 1st district, shared several updates on his social media account, reflecting on both recreational and environmental aspects of life in Montana.

On June 2, 2025, Zinke posted a brief message: “In the Beacon”. The post included a link but provided no further details.

The following day, June 3, 2025, he celebrated Montana’s natural beauty by highlighting its outdoor recreational opportunities. He wrote: “From Flathead Lake to the Madison River, boating and fishing access are part of what make Montana great. Happy National Boating and Fishing Week, get outside and enjoy Montana’s public waters this summer.” This message encouraged residents and visitors to engage with the state’s public waters during National Boating and Fishing Week.

Later that day, Zinke addressed environmental concerns specific to the region: “Fire season has started early this year in Montana. I’m working to address forest fires through better forest management policy at the national level. You can help prevent fires too by: drowning your campfires, checking weather conditions and notifying local authorities before”. His tweet underscores efforts toward improved forest management policies while also advising the public on fire prevention measures.

Ryan Zinke has been serving as a representative since replacing Steve Daines in 2023. He previously served in the Montana Senate from 2009 to 2013. Born in Bozeman in 1961, Zinke graduated from the University of Oregon and National University and resides in Whitefish.
