Montana State women’s tennis head coach Hailey Barrett announced on April 30 the addition of Stela Sifuentes and Naomi Jin to the team’s roster for the 2026-27 school year.

The announcement comes as the Bobcats aim to build on their recent success, which included a third consecutive appearance in the Big Sky Tennis Championships. The team achieved eight wins in Barrett’s first season as head coach, ending with three straight conference victories.

“We are so excited to welcome Naomi and Stela to the Bobcat family,” Barrett said. “Naomi is a strong player who will bring great energy to the team and Stela will bring a wealth of experience as a graduate transfer. They are both great people who will be wonderful additions to our tennis community here in Bozeman.”

Sifuentes joins Montana State after completing her undergraduate degree at St. Mary’s University in Texas, where she was named South Central Region ITA Rookie of the Year in 2023 and became the first freshman at her school to win 20 dual matches in one season. She is also a three-time All-Lone Star Conference honoree and ITA Scholar Athlete, having helped lead her team to an NCAA Division II Round of 16 appearance in 2025.

Jin arrives from Hilversum, Netherlands, bringing international experience with four tournament wins and rankings as high as No. 77 in singles and No. 129 in doubles according to KNLTB rankings. Her recent achievements include tournament victories at Amstelpark NRT-500 and Quick Open Enkel Toernooi, along with additional singles and doubles successes over several years.
