The Montana State women’s tennis team has released its spring 2026 schedule, which includes 19 dual matches. Head coach Hailey Barrett announced the lineup on Thursday.

The team will start its season in Grand Forks, North Dakota, with matches against Marquette on January 17 and North Dakota on January 18. The schedule also features trips to Colorado, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and Arizona. The Bobcats will compete in the Big Sky Tournament from April 22-25 in Phoenix.

“We are looking forward to a great spring season,” Barrett said. “There are big opportunities all throughout the schedule, and we are ready for the challenge. Co-captains Angel Bean and Anna Wise will be tremendous leaders for our team. We are excited to build on the momentum from our fall season and start the spring strong. Go Cats!”

In January, Montana State plays six matches: two in Grand Forks against Marquette and North Dakota; then at University of Colorado (January 23) and Colorado State (January 25); followed by Boise State (January 30) and Santa Clara (January 31) in Boise.

After a three-week break at the start of February, competition resumes with a Big Sky opener at Idaho on February 20 and a match at Washington State on February 22.

Montana State’s first home match is set for March 1 against Sacramento State at the Bobcat-Anderson Tennis Center. The team then travels to play Eastern Washington (March 6), Gonzaga (March 7), Portland State (March 15), Portland (March 17), and Seattle U (March 19). They finish March at home versus New Mexico State on March 29.

In April, three of four regular-season matches take place in Bozeman: after an away match at Idaho State (April 1), Montana State hosts Northern Arizona (April 3), Montana (April 11), and Weber State (April 19). The Big Sky Tournament begins April 22 in Phoenix, featuring six teams in single-elimination play; the winner earns an automatic spot in the NCAA Women’s Tennis Tournament.

Montana State enters the spring ranked fourth in the Big Sky Women’s Tennis Preseason Coaches’ Poll with 39 votes from league coaches. Sacramento State leads the poll with eight first-place votes and a total of 64 points.
