Montana State University will hold its annual Lights on Montana Hall event on Wednesday, December 3, at 5:30 p.m. The celebration is open to both the university and Bozeman communities and will take place outside on the Michael P. Malone Centennial Mall, located on the south side of Montana Hall.

The event includes free refreshments and entertainment as attendees view the holiday light display projected onto Montana Hall. Performances are scheduled from several groups, including the Bobcat Brass Trio, Spirit of the West drumline, Montanans, and Champ’s Children’s Choir. The children’s choir features participants from both the MSU Child Development Center and ASMSU daycare.

MSU President Brock Tessman and his family will greet guests before the musical performances begin. Each year a student creates a festive illustration to promote the event; this year’s poster was designed by Izzi Rukavina, a junior majoring in graphic design.

The tradition of lighting Montana Hall began in 2015 with the goal of bringing together people from both MSU and Gallatin Valley communities. All ages are welcome to attend.

“I cannot wait to share the warmth of the Montana State University family with community members and future Bobcats from around the Gallatin Valley,” said Tessman. “It is an honor to be part of this community and celebrate the amazing artists and musicians on our campus. I’m excited to share this special event with both my family and yours.”

Free parking will be available after 4:30 p.m. in all non-reserved spaces across campus, including at the top level of the parking garage. Additional information about parking can be found online at www.montana.edu/campusmap/#!/.
