Three out of four Big Sky weekly awards went to Montana State athletes for their efforts.

Hailey Coey broke her own school records in both long jump (6.47 meters/21 feet 2.75 inches) and triple jump (12.75 meters/41 feet 10 inches), earning her recognition as Big Sky Women’s Field Athlete of the Week. Her long jump mark also set a new conference record.

The women’s 4×400-meter relay team—Tilde Bjerager, Caroline Hawkes, Peyton Garrison and Giulia Gandolfi—set a new school record with a converted time of 3:36.91 which earned them Big Sky Women’s Track Athlete of the Week honors.

Sam Ells was named Big Sky Men’s Track Athlete of the Week after winning the men’s mile with a time of 3:58.01 in Bozeman.

Sydney Brewster recorded a school record shot put distance of 16.52 meters (54 feet 2½ inches) during her victory on day one of last week’s meet.

The current indoor season includes seven regular-season meets before postseason competitions begin. After Friday’s Stacy Dragila Invite—the third meet—Montana State returns home for the Carignan Classic on February 6 before splitting squads between two meets: Don Kirby Elite Invitational and Husky Classic (February 13-14). The Bobcats then host their final regular-season meet—the Big Sky Tuner—on February 19 before heading back to Pocatello for the Big Sky Indoor Championships from February 26-28. The NCAA Indoor Championships are scheduled for March 13-14 in Fayetteville.
