Montana State University’s football team will host Yale in the second round of the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) playoffs on Saturday, December 6. The game is scheduled to begin at noon at Bobcat Stadium in Bozeman.

Montana State, holding the No. 2 national seed, has secured home field advantage for as long as they remain in the playoffs. The winner of this matchup will move on to the national quarterfinals and face either Stephen F. Austin or Abilene Christian. Details about the FCS playoff bracket are available on the NCAA website.

Yale advanced to this round after a close victory over Youngstown State last weekend. As Ivy League champions, Yale overcame a 35-7 deficit in the first half and ultimately won 43-42 by scoring 21 points in the fourth quarter.

Montana State earned its spot in the playoffs with a win against rival Montana on November 22, claiming both the Big Sky Conference title and an automatic postseason bid. This marks the third time in four seasons that Montana State has finished as conference champion.

Tickets for Saturday’s game can be purchased online at montanastate.evenue.net or by calling 406-994-2287.

The game will be streamed live through ESPN+, which requires a subscription for viewing. Fans can also listen live via Bobcat Radio Network online or on radio stations throughout Montana; more information is available on their official radio and television webpage. Updates will also be provided on social media through Instagram @montanastatebobcats and Facebook @Montana State Football.
