Montana State University announced on March 11 that it will send a full team of six men and six women to compete at the 2026 NCAA Ski Championships in Utah. The event begins Wednesday, with alpine competitions taking place at Olympic Park in Park City and Nordic events held at Soldier Hollow in Midway.

The Bobcats are among seven teams entering the maximum number of athletes allowed, as a total of 22 teams vie for national honors. The championships will run through Saturday, featuring both alpine and Nordic disciplines.

The men’s alpine team includes Gianluca Böhm, Torius Hepsoe, and Will Steed. Böhm earned All-RMISA Honorable Mention this season with three top-10 finishes in giant slalom. Hepsoe also received All-RMISA Honorable Mention and placed seventh in giant slalom at Utah and fifth in slalom at Nevada. Steed recorded two top-10 finishes in slalom, including fifth place at the RMISA Qualifier at Bridger Bowl.

On the women’s side, Tea Kiesel was named to the All-RMISA Second Team after finishing in the top ten of every race except one this season. Justine Lamontagne made the All-RMISA First Team despite missing most of the season while competing for Canada at the Olympics; she posted top-five finishes in all three races she entered. Lily Sewell finished seventh in giant slalom at Colorado and had three other top-15 results.

In Nordic events, Grey Barbier returns for his second NCAA Championships after representing the U.S. at World Junior Championships earlier this year. Simon Chappaz was named to the All-RMISA Second Team with two podiums in freestyle races and is expected to contend for medals. Gavin Galyardt makes his second NCAA appearance after four top-10 finishes this season.

For Montana State’s women Nordic skiers, Felicie Chappaz is making her first NCAA appearance as a graduate student with three top-ten results so far this year. Senior Katey Houser qualified for her second NCAA meet after six top-ten finishes during the season and is recognized as one of MSU’s most consistent performers. Maeve MacLeod also joins as a first-time qualifier with several strong results.

The Bobcats’ participation highlights their depth across both alpine and Nordic skiing disciplines as they compete against some of collegiate skiing’s strongest programs.
