Montana State announces faculty lineup for annual distinguished lecturer series

Montana State University has announced the faculty members who will participate in the 13th annual Provost’s Distinguished Lecturer Series for the 2025-26 academic year.

The event highlights MSU faculty recognized for their creative scholarship and leadership. Each lecturer will discuss the inspiration behind their work in presentations designed for both professionals and the general public. The series is open to everyone at no cost.

Lectures are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in Hager Auditorium at the Museum of the Rockies, followed by a reception.

The lecturers and dates are as follows:
– Oct. 21: Virginia Bratton from the Jake Jabs College of Business and Entrepreneurship
– Feb. 17, 2026: Yves Idzerda from the Department of Physics
– March 24, 2026: Douglas Cairns from the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering
– April 21, 2026: Julia Haggerty from the Department of Earth Sciences
