Montana State long jumper Hailey Coey earned Second-Team All-America honors and finished 11th at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, according to a March 13 announcement. The event took place at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Coey achieved her first career All-America honor by placing among the top 16 competitors. She recorded a jump of 6.24 meters (20 feet, 5.75 inches) on her second attempt during her debut appearance at the NCAA Indoor Championships. In her three attempts, Coey fouled on the first, reached her best mark on the second, and posted a distance of 6.14 meters (20 feet, 1.75 inches) on her third try.

This performance marks an improvement from Coey’s previous result at the national level; she placed 20th in the long jump at the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships before moving up to 11th place indoors this year.

Montana State will wrap up its participation in the championships with Sydney Brewster competing in the women’s shot put on Saturday afternoon. The competition will be available for live streaming on ESPN+.
