Gallatin County officials investigate death of individual found in Bozeman

In Bozeman, local authorities are investigating the death of a person found near Baxter Lane and Sacco Drive. According to the Gallatin County Coroner’s Office, the body was discovered on Tuesday morning, February 24, 2026. The deceased has been identified as Augusta Old Crow, age 56, who lived in Bozeman. Officials have stated that both the cause and manner of death remain under investigation.

Sheriff/Coroner Dan Springer issued a statement: “Sheriff Springer wishes to express our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Augusta Old Crow during this time.”

The investigation is ongoing as officials work to determine more details about the circumstances surrounding Old Crow’s death.
