The City of Bozeman announced on April 29 that it is updating its website and email addresses to the new domain bozemanmt.gov. The city said this change is intended to clarify its status as a government entity and reduce confusion among residents.

According to the announcement, Bozeman’s official website will now be www.bozemanmt.gov. While visitors who use the old address, www.bozeman.net, will be redirected automatically, the city advises users to update any bookmarks they may have for specific pages in case some links do not work as expected.

Email addresses for city staff are also changing format, now using firstname.lastname@bozemanmt.gov. The city stated that emails sent to previous addresses will continue to be received for at least one year during the transition period.

In addition, changes are being made to public comment folders as part of this reorganization. Residents who have difficulty finding information or accessing public comment materials are encouraged to contact the City Clerks at comments@bozemanmt.gov.

These updates reflect Bozeman’s effort to improve communication with residents and provide clearer identification online.
