The City of Belgrade seeks a qualified individual to serve the remainder of the term for one Council Member representing Belgrade Ward 3.  

The person appointed to fill this mid-term vacancy will serve through Dec 31, 2023. 

This position will be re-opened for candidates to file for general election in Nov 2023. 

The original end of term for the elected position will remain as Dec 31, 2025.

Required qualifications:

•    A qualified voter of the City of Belgrade and a citizen of the United States

•    Must have held a residency in Ward 3 for a minimum of 60 days before the appointment

•    Must meet the qualifications prescribed by law or by ordinance adopted by the Belgrade City Council

•    Must not have been convicted of a felony that involves moral turpitude.

•    Upon appointment, take the oath of office prescribed in Article III, section 3, of the MT constitution
