Associated Students of MSU announce festival and drone show for Homecoming

The Associated Students of Montana State University (ASMSU) will hold their first Friday Night Festival and Bobcat Drone Show on September 26 as part of the university’s Homecoming week. The event is open to the public and will take place at Dyche Field on the Montana State University campus.

According to ASMSU, the festival will run from 7 to 9 p.m. and feature food trucks, lawn games, and live music by local band Retrograde. At 9 p.m., a drone show with 200 drones will launch from Dyche Field, creating images related to Montana State University in the sky.

Finn Growney, vice president of ASMSU, said, “Our goal is to spark a new Homecoming tradition — one that is fun and engaging for students while highlighting the pillars of Homecoming: leadership, service and involvement.”

Homecoming week at MSU starts on Monday, September 22. The week concludes with two major athletic events on Saturday, September 27: a football game against Eastern Washington University and a volleyball match versus Portland State University.
